Alanna and I spent about a week in Colorado visiting Grammy and Grampy. Alanna took a bath in the kitchen sink and napped with Grampy (and visited friends and family and hung out and hiked and watched TV with me).

Visiting Grammy and Grampy
I have to say that I absolutely love this photo. I think I'll get it enlarged and hang it somewhere so I can smile every time I see it.

Meanwhile, Rhys and his daddy flew to Idaho to visit Grandma and Grandpa and lots of other relatives. There was a family reunion with members of Grandma's family. Pictures will follow soon.

Lazy Afternoon
Small detail: Rhys has his shoes on the wrong feet, which is so funny to see in person!
Update on our activities: Now I'm helping Rhys eat the frozen edamame he pulled out of the freezer a moment ago. And he's eating them while taking apart all of his substantial collection of puzzles.
Yes, we are lazily busy (or busily lazy).
Oh– I guess since both Alanna and the dog are enjoying a nap, some of us are indeed having a lazy afternoon!

Thomas Jammies
I've managed to sew only a couple of things in the last couple of months. I made Rhys a two pairs of Thomas the Tank Engine pajama bottoms, which are very, very loved.
Here is Rhys showing off one of the pairs of Thomas jammies.

I am so tired today. Rhys and his dad went to Santa Fe to do a couple of errands, and Alanna and I stayed home so I could nap. We had a lovely 4th of July- a barbeque at a friend's house, and then we watched fireworks from the driveway. We live very close to where they're set off in the county, so we can see them easily. This year, we watched them sitting in chairs in the back of the pickup, so we could see all but the lowest explosions. Rhys had a blast! (ha ha)

Alanna Belle
The reason for my absence: Alanna Belle
Alanna was born on May 4 and weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz.
Rhys seems to be adapting well... at least he seems to enjoy being a big brother!
On Memorial Day we went for our first family hike in the Jemez.
We're getting used to sleep deprivation again, but Alanna is a sweet girl and we all love her very much!
