Where does the time go?

Based on the title of this post, it would be easy to expect me to ruminate on the passage of time, how the kids change so quickly (ohmygosh do they!), how many gray hairs I have (thankfully only a few- and only if you know where to look), how fast the world can seem to pass by... But actually, I'm really only talking about the last couple of weeks. Wow! Somehow we were really busy, and I didn't keep up with posts. And, the kids and I are leaving to spend a week and a half with my parents the day after tomorrow, so I probably won't be posting in the next couple of weeks. Thus, where does the time go?

It was recently brought to my attention that perhaps people are reading this blog. I mean, I know grandmas and grandpas read it, and I make my husband read it, but apparently there are other friends and family reading it to. I had no idea! I thought I was doing this mostly for the grandparents and for the kids, once I figure out how to publish this as a book so they can look through it when they're older. Since I'm thinking a few more people are looking at it, I've also started trying to spiff up the blog (I added a list of books I'm reading- then I got tired of spending too much time on the computer only thinking about the books I'm reading instead of reading them). Busy, Busy

Goodness- it's been a while! I don't even have a photo to post, although I've been busy (crafting and living a busy life in general). A recap of the last several weeks includes: our (dumb, dumb, dumb) dog developed some weird pica eating habits, and is still recovering from the exploratory surgery he had two weeks ago (to the tune of an obscene amount of money); I've been a moderate insomniac for nearly two months which cuts down on my work time because I'm inefficient and unmotivated when I'm sleepy; we installed countertop in half the kitchen (hopefully the other half will be this weekend...); I did manage to make my mom an apron for mother's day, and will be delivering it to her next week in person; and, very good friends of our got married last weekend- but between all of the brunches and flower luncheons and rehearsals and dinners and ceremonies, etc., not much time was leftover for housework so I've been trying to catch up on laundry, cleaning, and watering the garden for three days. The great thing about the wedding weekend was I made myself a new purse to take with me to all the events- and stayed up very late one night to do so (but since I was already not sleeping well at night, I figured, "what the heck?"). And now, I've got a hankering to make another one, so I'd best get busy!
